7 WWE 25th Anniversary RAW Returns Who Couldn't Survive PG

2. Road Dogg

‘Road Dogg’ Jesse James found tremendous success with ‘Badass’ Billy Gunn during the Attitude Era as The New Age Outlaws, capturing audiences with juvenile antics and high energy. Together, they remained one of the most prominent mid-card acts and won the Tag Team titles five times before WWE dropped the “f.”

But to be fair, Gunn was more of the walker while Road Dogg was more of the talker. Unfortunately, the man who got fans to memorize one of the longest catchphrases in history would be hard pressed to speak without either referring to something immoral or cursing.

In today’s wrestling, in-ring action is in higher demand. Fans expect higher-level performances found in the likes of AJ Styles or Seth Rollins. A brawler with a few power moves would fall to the bottom of the card. But that’s not to say Road Dogg would be without a place in the PG world. After all, there are spots for talents such as Enzo Amore and (formerly) James Ellsworth.
