7 WWE Feuds That Didn't Deserve Hell In A Cell

Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy from Hell in a Cell in 2018 was one of the better cell matches in recent years incorporating both violence and high spots, as well as great use of weapons and the cell itself and saw a vicious, memorable spot where Orton twisted Hardy's stretched ear lobe with a screwdriver. This match also gave the newly heel turned Orton to showcase just how dangerous and barbaric he can be, giving his character a much-needed change.

Although a great match this doesn't excuse the fact that the rivalry leading up to it was deserving of the demonic structure.

Orton attacked Hardy at Extreme Rules in July, the two had a match on SmackDown LIVE in August which ended in a no contest, Hardy challenged Orton to a match at Hell in a Cell the week after and in between the two went back and forth with the usual jaw jacking. Hardly a build up worthy of a match of this magnitude, but none the less an extremely good one that was a big part in Orton's revitalised run which is still going strong to this day.
