7 WWE Gimmicks Designed To DISGUST You

1. Duke 'The Dumpster' Droese

The blame for terrible, gross gimmicks usually falls on the creative team (and, let's be real, it was usually Vince McMahon when he was around). The wrestler is often someone who's worked their whole lives to get to the WWF/WWE, only to be saddled with a gimmick straight from Satan's anus, but Duke 'The Dumpster' Droese is that rarest of beasts who came up with his own dreadful gimmick.

After working the independent circuit as 'The Garbage Man' (original), Duke Droese entered the federation in 1994. His vignettes revealed that he slept in a dumpster alongside other people's stinky trash, and he hailed from Mt. Trashmore in Florida (which is an actual place, geography fans).

Bizarrely, he was unable to use his trash can as a weapon, which kinda soured the whole gimmick. This was another case of a wrestler's filthy gimmick being that he was smelly, something that was backed up by him winning the 1994 Slammy for Stinkiest Wrestler (though he had to share it with fellow shower critic Henry Godwinn).

The true grossness here also comes from Droese's personal life. In 2025, he reportedly attempted to use cryptocurrency to buy sexual images of children on the Dark Web. The transaction was denied by Coinbase, who then reported him to the authorities.

The case is still ongoing.
