7 WWE Gimmicks That Totally Personify Vince McMahon

5. 'Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels

Admittedly, this one owes more to Vince's TV character than anything else.

Shawn Michaels and his insufferable 'Boy Toy'/'Heartbreak Kid' gimmick from the early-'90s is another example of McMahon's basing company creativity on his own fantasies. His arrogance was unmatched in 1992-93, and the way he'd command valet Sherri Martel to hold up a mirror so he could admire himself made him so unlikeable. Shawn was there to please the chicks and be a d*ck.

It's not hard to draw parallels between that character and how Vince has acted over the years. He's booked himself in sexual situations on screen with a laundry list of women, and there's always a recurring trend: Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, Candice Michelle, Stacy Keibler and more found him ridiculously attractive, but would then screw him (steady) in the end for being an utter egotist.

That was Michaels' fate too. He was the kind of guy who'd steal your girl, then treat her so badly she'd regret it and end up seeking revenge on him. Weirdly, Vince ended up aping some of Shawn's traits, whereas Michaels went off in a totally new direction.
