7 WWE Hell In A Cell Matches You Forgot Ever Happened

6. Kane vs Mankind (Raw, August 24, 1998)

You read it right. WWE seemingly loved that damn Cell so much that they had three matches inside it in just over two months. Mankind - obviously not content with getting mashed into oblivion at King Of The Ring mere weeks earlier - would step back inside Satan's Structure once again, this time on a Raw set six days before SummerSlam 98. As it happened, he'd be matched up against his own partner and fellow tag team champion, Kane, who would be accompanied by his brother The Undertaker, six days before Taker would face Steve Austin for the WWE Title at Summerslam with Kane in his corner. Look, no one ever said The Attitude Era was simple. Anyhoo, this was once again more about furthering ongoing tensions running through the world title picture at that point, with Mankind getting the snot kicked out of him once again courtesy of the Brothers Of Destruction (even taking another bump off the Cell wall and through a table. God damn it, Mick), before Austin turned up to make the save and send the bout into a no contest. Again, it was all great fun, but the Cell was there more as a useful prop than a centrepiece to a feud.
