7 WWE Main Events You Won't Believe Didn't Close A PPV

5. Elimination Chamber 2012

The Match That Closed The Show: Kane vs. John Cena, Ambulance Match. Just reading that match out loud makes you cringe. Knowing that it closed a pay-per-view on the road to WrestleMania makes it even worse. Had it been for either the World Heavyweight Championship or the WWE Championship it would have been understandable. But no, back in a time where there were still two world titles, Kane main evented a February PPV in a non title match all so John Cena would embrace the hate. That was the tag line for the match. Kane was going to do everything possible, including hit him with a fireball to have Cena lash out at his haters. Thankfully for all of us, John Cena was above that and gave us this line to live by. "Words like hustle, loyalty and respect do not fall to pieces because someone throws fire in your face." That just goes to show you kids, even if someone throws fire in your face, always remain respectful. #Sarcasm #GiveItARestCena
The Match That Should Have Closed The Show: Elimination Chamber Match, WWE Championship. There were two options to choose from here. The name of the show after all is Elimination Chamber and each of your major titles was defended inside one. Not closing with the World Heavyweight Championship match is understandable. Daniel Bryan wasn't as over as he would become the night after WrestleMania and the match didn't quite have that big fight feel to it. But not ending with the WWE title match doesn't add up. You had Dolph Ziggler, one of the best performers in the company. Chris Jericho, one of the most recognizable names there is. And CM Punk, your biggest talent carrying the most sought after prize in wrestling. Surely this was a one time lapse in judgment and would not happen again...
