7 WWE Royal Rumble Cliches We'll Definitely See This Year
3. "Big Show Is The Odds-On Favourite"
Every year Michael Cole (and, truth be told, it's unfair - although a little funnier - to direct this at him alone) tries to convince us that the biggest entrant into the Royal Rumble - not in terms of status, but actual physical size - must be the odds-on favourite to out last all his opponents.
You can see the logic behind it: heavier guys, by definition, are going to be much more difficult to eliminate - and, to be fair, usually there's at least one giant left in the game towards the closing minutes of the match. The problem is it's actually pretty rare for the biggest wrestler in the match to actually win - in fact, we've only seen this happen the once, when Yokozuna emerged victorious in 1993.
It's time to admit Big Show is just never going to win it.
