Things tend to look a little awkward when a Rumble competitor, without a sparring partner, aimlessly wanders around the ring waiting for someone to throw him a punch. The best solution is usually just to drop to the floor and lay there until such time as an unexpected entrant comes running down the ramp, at which time you can jump to your feet and put on your best surprised face.

Wrestling moves seem to inflict more damage during the Rumble than at any other time, to the extent that a DDT or a suplex - normally just transitional moves in any other setting - can keep you down for a solid three or four minutes. True: the attrition-like effect of being in the ring for so long would take its toll, but this routinely happens in the early goings of the match too.
