7 WWE Stars Who Can Never Be Babyface Again

2. Seth Rollins

It might not be an accident that Seth Rollins' current 'Monday Night Messiah' gimmick shares a lot in common with CM Punk's old 'Straight Edge Saviour' guise. WWE might be sneakily setting something up there, but even if they're not one thing rings true: Seth cannot repeat the second half of 2019 ever a-bloody-gain.

That nightmare destroyed his babyface run, shattered his relationship with the fans and almost negatively impacted Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' for good. It also succeeded in turning Rollins from likeable wrestling workhorse into whinging git champion who cut scaredy-cat promos so unbelievable they could've come from old Goosebumps episodes.

This new heel persona born out of that misery is working for him.

Like any good zealot, he has backup to do the dirty work for him. By surrounding himself with the likes of AOP and Buddy Murphy, Seth has raised their respective profiles as well as his own. He's thriving as a ranting, disconnected and delusional WWE Donald Trump, and (much like Bayley) spat on his old bond with the audience.
