7 WWE Superstars Who Were Probably Alcoholics

5. Eddie Guerrero

Steve Austin was unhappy with WWE in 2002. That's an understatement. He was furious with the creative direction of the company, so following WrestleMania that year they brought back Eddie Guerrero after releasing him in November 2001. Eddie spent about six months outside of WWE before they brought him back. Keep in mind that part of the reason he was released was due to being arrested for drunk driving and he had already been in rehab by that point too. What did they do when they brought Eddie back to WWE? They put him in a scene in a bar with Steve Austin. The last kind of scene a recovering alcoholic should be shooting is in a bar with alcohol around, but that's what WWE did with Eddie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egGY8TxthLY They filmed a scene in a bar based on Eddie and Steve singing karaoke. Eddie was shown with alcohol at his table as he sat with a bunch of women. The segment ended after Eddie attacked Austin using a beer bottle to the back of the head. There was not a match between them because Austin walked out of WWE a short time later, but they did use alcohol as a way to further this angle.
