7 WWE Superstars Who Were Probably Alcoholics

3. APA (Bradshaw & Faarooq)

The Acolytes were made up of Bradshaw (JBL) and Faarooq (Ron Simmons). They were two legitimately tough guys that were former football players who had a reputation of being badasses in the ring. They were the perfect kind of power team that WWE needed at the time. They grew from being a pair of Undertaker's lackeys to a couple of guys that opened up the Acolytes Protection Agency. The idea was that other people on the roster would hire them to beat somebody up. During the many APA segments backstage, they often had beer with them. There would be funny card games with the likes of Mae Young and there was even a drunken strip poker game involving the lovely Trish Stratus too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7ETKH-KZa0 There were even some scenes shot with them at bars where they beat people up. They originally started off as heels in the APA, but they became such an entertaining duo that the fans turned them into babyfaces. It was an entertaining gimmick for two guys that had the credibility to pull it off.
