4. The New Day (c) Vs. The Hurt Business

Tom Phillips noted that it "might be the last chance The Hurt Business have" to take on The New Day before the Tag Team Champions arrived. Patently false and blatantly thick, this exact comment highlighted why theoretically high stakes match don't feel as they should in 2020. Over-exposure on television should have diluted it, but this really was a tremendous bit of (Hurt) business.

Cedric Alexander is absolutely buzzing whenever he or his associates win matches, and why the f*ck not? The rest of the lads might have been a little confused, but they've obviously forgotten why he accepted his spot in the group in the first place - he was pig sick of being a complete loser.

More mindful of this than his own mates, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston flew out of the traps in an effort to flex the "big match" versions of themselves, taking Alexander out of the contest early then doing much the same to Shelton Benjamin before the heels finally took charge.

In show-stealing form on pay-per-view of late, the Champions were back at it when Kofi fought back, with all four going big in sequences that felt over-complicated until they were (mostly) pulled off with aplomb. It all fed into Alexander's over-exuberance getting it done, too. Stealing a blind tag from Shelton Benjamin, the newest member of the group hit a flash Lumbar Check to ensure all the three full-timers in the stable now hold gold.
