There can be little doubt Emma should have been far more successful than she was on WWE's main roster.

The bubbly babyface found her footing in NXT through her awkward mannerisms and general wholesomeness. Her dancing in particular was so cheesy and silly that it actually led to her breaking out as a fan favorite on the black-and-gold brand over time.

Before Paige's historic debut on Raw the night after WrestleMania XXX, Emma was actually the first female to be called up from NXT in early 2014. She was introduced as a random member of the audience holding up signs that said "Emmalution" before being paired off with Santino Marella soon after.

As entertaining a comedy wrestler as Santino was, the partnership caused Emma to be labeled a lost cause from the get-go. She didn't have the slightest chance of getting over after that, especially once her dancing gimmick was made to look as goofy and as ridiculous as possible in dance-offs with Fandango and Summer Rae.

Emma descended into a joke until turning heel the following year. It was the only way to escape the dil-Emma she found herself in.
