After two terrific years in NXT (including a record-setting reign as NXT champion), Neville was rumored for a move to the main roster in the early months of 2015. What worried fans at the time were the reports that he was set to debut on Raw with a "Mighty Mouse"-esque gimmick, cartoonish cape and all.

Just because The Man That Gravity Forgot could fly around the ring like a superhero didn't mean WWE had to make a gimmick out of it and ruin the simple yet captivating entrance he had in NXT. Sure enough, he donned the cape the night he arrived on the Raw roster following WrestleMania 31 and continued to wear it in the months that followed.

Unsurprisingly, Neville never got over as anything but a stepping stone for the other Superstars, because, well, capes aren't cool.

Had his entrance and character remained untouched from his NXT stint, he probably would have been a bigger star than he was originally. Although he's no longer with the company, he did ditch the dumb cape in late 2016 upon turning heel before going on to rule 205 Live as the King of the Cruiserweights ahead of his eventual departure.
