8 Best Candidates To Win WWE Survivor Series World Title Tournament

6. Alberto Del Rio

At Hell in a Cell, Alberto Del Rio shocked the wrestling world by returning to WWE and capturing the United States Championship from John Cena. The following night, he came just inches away from becoming the No. 1 contender to the top prize in the company, falling just short in a Fatal 4-Way match won by Roman Reigns. As fate would have it, he has another opportunity to wrap the WWE world title around his waist, making him the second heel duel champion the company has had in 2015. Del Rio brings with him the appeal to the Hispanic audience that Vince McMahon has been desperate to appeal to as of late, while also having the name and credibility to be believable to the audience at large as the top star in the company. His ring work is strong, his body more sculpted than it was before he left and his partnership with Zeb Colter provides countless opportunities for interesting and captivating storylines. The only obstacle facing Del Rio is WWE Creative, who has seemingly already grown bored with pushing Del Rio, allowing him to settle back into the midcard and begin a feud with Jack Swagger over the U.S. title. To erase perception of Del Rio as a perennial midcard act, they will have to get behind him completely or risk wasting a major opportunity on someone they will never fully support.
