5. Sheamus
The Celtic Warrior is already the holder of the Money in the Bank contract so why not toy with the formulaic nature of his story by, for the first time in WWE history, allowing him to hold the title and the briefcase simultaneously? Imagine a scenario in which Sheamus wins the title at Survivor Series and loses it sometime in the future, perhaps at the Royal Rumble, only to cash in immediately and win it right back. How irate would fans be? How willing would they be to see the bully of a competitor get his comeuppance at the hands of a popular babyface? A babyface is only as great as the heel they are facing and Sheamus is a great call back to a time when villains were despicable beings whose actions were irredeemable. The sudden vacancy at the top of the heel side of the roster presents an opportunity to the Irishman to rise to the occasion, win the title, and have the Money in the Bank briefcase in his back pocket for insurance purposes.
