3. Dean Ambrose
The Lunatic Fringe is wrestling's most popular babyface. Don't believe me? Take one good listen to the pops that accompany him when he enters arenas across the country. The reaction is louder than whatever accompanies Roman Reigns and more favorable than that of John Cena. And it is not hard to see why. Ambrose is a frenetic performer. He never stops, never gives fans the opportunity to take themselves out of the action. He understands in-ring psychology and where (and when) to insert specific spots to generate the desired reaction. He is unhinged, non-traditional and the fans love every crazy inch of him. On two separate occasions, he has competed in main event feuds and proved that he can carry those types of programs. At a time when Seth Rollins is now sidelined, and both John Cena and Randy Orton are watching from the sidelines for different reasons, why not pull the trigger and let the most unconventional star in the company have a run with the title. At worst, he continues the downward trajectory of television ratings that has existed whether John Cena, Sting, Kane or Reigns has been on top. At best, though, he proves to be a breakout star and the so-called "face of the future" the company has so desperately sought for years now.
