8 Best Candidates To Win WWE Survivor Series World Title Tournament
2. Roman Reigns
With Rollins' departure from the main event and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture, the most obvious choice to replace him as titleholder is the man who was intended to challenge him at Survivor Series, Roman Reigns. With that said, though, it still feels entirely too early to push Reigns into that role when all signs pointed to him possibly attaining the gold at WrestleMania this coming spring. Rushing that moment could be highly detrimental to the star, who has been on a steady climb back into title contention over the last few months, but does not feel ready to finally pay off the story. An appearance in the finals of the tournament is a definite, barring some sort of contrived angle that sees him eliminated in the semifinals, but Reigns winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at this point would likely create a backlash against him that would prove much more difficult to reverse than the first time WWE Creative had to rescue him from fan disgust and anger. Reigns will hold the title sooner than later but now is not the time.
