If you listened to the crowd on the Raw after WrestleMania, then you know that the fans would go absolutely bonkers for an Undertaker vs. Sting match. Yes, it would have been better five or ten years ago. Yes, the match would have been more important if The Streak was still in tact. Yes, it would also have been more interesting had Sting not lost to Hunter. But still, theres something about the visual of seeing these two lock up, which is absolutely compelling. Because for years, these two have only battled in the minds of fans, and in videogames. They have a a lot of factors working for them that makes a match just feel right. They've never crossed paths since they became big stars, they both live in Texas, they apparently shared the same dressing room at WrestleMania 31, and seem to have a deep respect for one another. On the downside, theyre both in their 50s, but as WrestleMania 31 showed, they still have a little bit left in the tank. They wouldnt have to put on a 5-star classic either, because simply seeing them together would be amazing. Like Rock vs. Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 18, its more about the visual, and the surrealness of the match actually happening. The two veterans are both babyfaces, which would make the crowds alliance loyalties split a bit, but its likely theyd each receive massive cheers no matter what happened. Undertaker vs. Sting is probably the biggest dream match left in all of wrestling that could still happen. Theres possibly no better way for both legends to go out then by finally giving fans the epic encounter theyve always dreamed of.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
