8 Biggest Casualties Of The WWE Network

7. The Production Team

WWE's attempts at cutting their budget to compensate for the Network's initial lack of profitability filtered down to the production team. The likes of Kevin Dunn were obviously safe, and most crew members retained their positions, but the cuts brought them great inconvenience, particularly when it came to travelling.

According to a July 2014 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE thought they'd save money by deciding to stop providing buses for the crew as they travelled from city to city. Producers would be bussed into town on the day of a pay-per-view or weekly TV show prior to the chage, then out again the following day. Breaking the set down would typically take them until about 1am, after which they'd get on the bus, sleep, then be driven to the next arena, where they'd start setting up for that night's show.

This was all abolished, and crew members were forced to drive to their next destination instead, leaving them with little time to sleep. Reports stated that this made their job a lot more physically taxing, and there was talk of many looking elsewhere for work, though it's unclear if anything came of this.
