8 Biggest Ever Wrestler-Management Disputes In History
6. Nailz And Vince McMahon
Much like Punk, Nailz wasn't happy with a pay off he received after a big pay per view. This incident revolves around the pay check Nailz, real name Kevin Wacholz, received following SummerSlam 1992 where he defeated Virgil in three minutes fifty-five seconds. It is alleged Wacholz, and his big scary voice, went to McMahon airing his concerns only to be knocked back. This lead to Nailz cornering McMahon in his own office and beating him while John 'The Bezerker' Nord watched the door. Bret Hart, in his autobiography, claims to have heard to scrap saying Wacholz "cornered Vince in his office and screamed at him for fifteen minutes". Hart claims he was just down the hall when he heard a loud crash, which was Wacholz "knocking Vince over in his chair and choking him violently" This incident lead to Nailz being fired from his WWE contract in December 1992 and numerous court cases. McMahon denied Wacholz' claim that he had given his former star steroids on a number of occasions. Wacholz then filed a wrongful termination lawsuit. The WWE then filed a counterclaim against Wacholz, but both suits were later dropped. In 1994, Wacholz testified against McMahon during his trial on charges of supplying steroids to WWE wrestlers. Wacholz claimed McMahon told him to take steroids allegedly including the comment "I hate Vince McMahon's guts" in his statement.
