8 Blade-Jobs That Would Cost Superstars Their Job In Today's WWE
4. The Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar - Hell in a Cell for the WWE Championship - No Mercy - October 20th, 2002
After Brock Lesnar defeated The Rock for the WWE Undisputed Championship at SummerSlam 2002, he truly cemented his place as 'The Next Big Thing'. Downside was The Undertaker waiting for him afterward. While it's The Undertaker's blade-job I'm giving props to, the brutality & gore of this match is a collaborative effort. Not only does The Deadman bleed a literal gusher, but Brock AND Heyman get into it by getting busted open. It's not often you get both wrestlers & manager bleeding, and the result is one of the bloodiest matches in WWE's history. During an episode of Smackdown prior to No Mercy, Brock Lesnar broke The Undertaker's hand. By the time Brock tears the cast off his arm during the match, it's soaked up buckets of blood and looks like a bloody stump. Seriously, I think Vince would try and see to it someone got the death penalty if this match happened today. As for the match itself, it's pretty decent, and that's saying something considering BikerTaker was pretty God-awful in the ring. Of course, it's not without it's faults, namely the damn broken hand. Look, we wrestling fans know the score, we suspend our disbelief, but don't do things like this. Especially don't have The Undertaker using his broken hand as a club and acting like he's petting a cat made out of cotton candy. Also, for as much as Brock was beating on the hand, it would have been black & blue, and 'Taker would have probably died from shock. Props to Heyman though for being so damn obnoxious "WE'RE LOSING! WE'RE LOSING!".
Caliber Winfield is more legend. Despite making up every rumor himself, they're all true. He's so manly he has to shave his eyeballs, and he was mistaken for The Rock as well as Ryan Gosling in the same day, both men said it was the greatest day of their life when they heard the news.
