8 Blade-Jobs That Would Cost Superstars Their Job In Today's WWE

2. John Cena (C) vs JBL - I Quit Match For WWE World Championship - Judgment Day 2005

A decade ago, John "Bradshaw" Layfield, mid-card jobber for his entire time in the WWE suddenly received a make-over as a modern day Million Dollar Man. For some reason, this made him a contender for the WWE title, which he won, and went on a Triple H-esq reign of terror that lasted a year. What I mean by reign of terror, I mean terrible feuds, and even worse matches. Elsewhere, John Cena had finally dialed in his character and had become the kind of cool that builds into a ground-swell that soon helps catapult someone into the next big star. Their paths finally crossed at WrestleMania 21, where unfortunately they had a very lackluster match. Sure, this was nothing new for JBL, but c'mon, this is WresstleMania! No false finishes, zero drama, nothing worth sticking around for. Soon after, they had rematch in the form of an I Quit Match. Here was where John showed just how great of a match he was possible of, and JBL got a very note-worthy send-off to his seemingly endless title reign. Of course, the reason this match lands at number 2 is because of the almost supernatural amount of blood shed by John Cena. He's COVERED in it for almost the entire duration of the match, and it's not just him. The mat, the ground, JBL's limo, all of it is slathered in John's blood as it cascades from his forehead, completely covering his arms & chest, and even his famous jorts. Every time I see this I'm in awe, truly a match worth the title of 'blood bath'. Screen Shot 2014 05 26 At 22 15 54 It's also worthy of being included when people speak about John Cena's best matches. It's an absolute blast, and one of the best that I've ever seen.

Caliber Winfield is more legend. Despite making up every rumor himself, they're all true. He's so manly he has to shave his eyeballs, and he was mistaken for The Rock as well as Ryan Gosling in the same day, both men said it was the greatest day of their life when they heard the news.
