8 Brutally Short WWE Title Reigns That Don't Sit Well With Fans
5. Zack Ryder's Intercontinental Championship Reign - 1 Day
One of the company's most prestigious titles, the Intercontinental Championship was won by Zack Ryder in a seven-man Ladder Match at WrestleMania 32. After campaigning so hard to get the fans and management on his side, it looked like Ryder was finally going to get a decent midcard title run.
The next night on Raw, The Miz went one on one with Ryder, and he became the new champion, leaving Ryder on the outside looking in once more.
Despite being fairly popular with the crowd, Ryder has never picked up any serious momentum with a championship. He had a short, lacklustre run with the US title during the start of 2012, but that's it. The WWE Universe thought that they would finally see Ryder get a chance to shine, but it looked like the whole point of his IC title reign was just to prove that anything can happen in WWE.
