8 Burning Questions That Need Answering At WWE Royal Rumble

7. Will The New Day And Kidd/Cesaro Stay Stuck In Neutral?

The Royal Rumble Kickoff show will feature several very talented and currently under-utilized performers. Tyson Kidd and Cesaro recently have formed a tag team and have been working on some tandem offense, so the hope is that they will actually get some traction. Kofi Kingston and Big E are both very talented and charismatic, but neither has been given a chance recently to grow. Their collaboration with Xavier Woods as the New Day appears to be spinning its wheels lately. So what do you do with two teams that don€™t seem to have a lot of direction? Put them against each other and hope one emerges with some momentum. Which one will it be? Cesaro and Kidd probably have a bigger upside as they are presented right now. They are a no-nonsense team that can flat-out wrestle €“ they just need to ditch Adam Rose. New Day, by comparison, aren€™t going to amount to much more than they currently are as the smiling, overly positive babyfaces. Perhaps losing a few matches will help bring out the €œrage€ that Woods alluded to during their intros on Raw. That€™s something to look for: whether these teams emerge with a sense of purpose, or if they were stuck out there to fill some time.
