8 Cross-Promotion Wrestling Dream Matches We Will Never See

5. Edge Vs Kenny Omega

Jon Moxley Vs Roman Reigns Vs Seth Rollins Shield Triple Threat
WWE/AEW

Suppose you were to look at Kenny Omega and call him a reincarnation of Edge in the modern-day.

In that case, there aren't too many people who would argue with you, as these Canadian born superstars do share many similarities. For one, they are both known for being some of the most exciting in-ring performers of their generations, but also they have a great sense of story and can control a crowd with both a microphone and their in-ring work.

When Edge finally made his way back to wrestling at the 2020 Royal Rumble, fans' collective minds exploded as they started thinking of all the mouth-watering dream matches that could be on the table. The likes of AJ Styles, Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan were now possible, but one that wasn't achievable was a match against Kenny Omega.

Sadly, it's not just the lack of collaboration between WWE and AEW that damns this one, as Edge has made it clear that he wants to end his career on his own terms, meaning that he will probably finish up in WWE and avoid straying to any other companies.

While that is the right choice for him - as he can go out on top - it does mean this wrestling fan dream match is forfeit.
