Unlike former NXT Champions Bo Dallas and Neville, Kevin Owens has found a great deal of success on the main roster, and his momentum is showing no signs of slowing down. After a string of awesome matches against the likes of Cesaro, John Cena, and Dean Ambrose, you don't exactly need to a genius to figure out that Owens and Daniel Bryan could have delivered magic inside the squared circle. Their encounters on the independent circuit stand as proof of that, and seeing as they share a history and are both far from the conventional idea of a WWE Superstar, the potential for a really interesting was definitely there. Owens' surprising high flying abilities and generally quite unconventional wrestling style for someone of his size would have ensured that this was more than just another big guy trying to bully a smaller one too, and that's important, especially as Bryan being able to take it to the former Intercontinental Champion is what would have made their matches all the more compelling. Basically, this could have been the main roster version of Owens' feud with Sami Zayn, and with what would have no doubt been a string of A+ matches to boot, we've really missed out on something special here.
