8 Decisions That Pushed WCW Towards Ruin

7. Goldberg Winning The WCW Title On Nitro

I have a theory that many of the people at WCW were like a different breed of vampire, needing ratings to survive instead of blood.

The most glaring example of this was WCW not realising they had one of the greatest opportunities to make big money they ever had, if they had built Goldberg vs 'Hollywood' Hulk Hogan for a pay-per-view. Sadly not, as the craving for ratings kicked in again and they took the decision to put the match for the World Heavyweight Championship on Nitro.

Given everything that happens on TV is supposed to build to a hopefully massive conclusion at a pay-per-view, it was a baffling decision. A colossal pay day opportunity that would have really helped the bank balance was lost forever as a result.

Fun loving and opinionated. Full of random facts, many of which are completely irrelevant. I think I'm funny, hopefully at least one other person agrees. Love dissecting movies, television and video games for others to enjoy.
