For anyone who's watched TNA over the years, they’ll know the company has come up with a lot of really bad concepts. Every wrestling organization has had their fair share of them, but Dixie Carter and her creative team have sometimes taken things to a whole new level.

There were bad match ideas like the Lock Box Challenge, the Reverse Battle Royal and the Last Rites match. There were bad hiring ideas like Orlando Jordan, Rellik and The Rainbow Express. Then there were bad creative hiring practices like Vince Russo, and then re-hiring Vince Russo. But along the way, there has been some good ideas, even a few great ones believe it or not!

However, the company has never had a true vision of what they wanted to be. On quite a few occasions, they should have kept going. Because part of the mess they're in today can be attributed to them not ever developing their own unique identity.

Here are eight great ideas that TNA gave up on too soon.

Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
