A heel or face turn is at its best when it comes completely out of the blue, and The New Day turning on Big E is one of the greatest examples of that in WWE history. After months of infighting between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, and with a 10th Anniversary booked for Monday Night Raw, the stage seemed set for the legendary tag team to part ways and leave us with a plethora of great memories.

As the duo started to give what seemed like a farewell speech, Big E came to the ring to offer his services as the team's new manager in an attempt to halt their decision to disband. What followed was some of the most merciless and cruel mic work ever seen in a WWE ring, as Woods and Kofi spat the offer back in E's face.

The duo's new catchphrase of "So what?", first used as a rebuttal to Big E telling the duo that he only left them due to his broken neck, became the stuff of legend. WWE explicably cooled on their booking in the months following this, but for a short while, The New Day were two of the biggest heels of the 21st century.
