His time is up, his time is now.

For all his many qualities sometimes too numerous to count, John Cena has been an absolute raging d***head since his summer reintroduction.

Breezing past Rusev in a dated and derisory flag match that flattened the 'Bulgarian Brute' immediately upon his own return, Cena's treatment of Baron Corbin was abhorrent, regardless of the punishments or penalisations at play. He's largely behaved the same way in near-the-knuckle promo battles with Roman Reigns, abusing his privilege to colour outside the lines and his experience to ensure 'The Big Dog' can't.

However, without interruptions and smart-mouthed responses on the go-home Raw, Reigns knocked his speech out of the park. Using video to draw comparisons fans have done for weeks, his call back to Cena's feud with The Rock was timely and nailed on. And like with that rivalry, the younger regular has to ultimately win. Rock and Cena had years to get to their final destination, but WWE may not be as keen to make the former Shield member last that long.

Though it may leave money on the table in diffusing potential rematches, Reigns must topple the current 'Face That Runs The Place', and send him packing with a hammer blow rather than a handshake.
