7. Johnny Gargano (c) Vs. Kushida

Not to make this match sound like something from a main roster B-Show, but if this match was happening at Payback or something similar, we'd be forced to analyse it based solely on who can cope best with losing.

As good as Johnny Gargano Vs Kushida will likely be, it won't be as good as it would have been in the normal world. Furthermore, the two tag matches that set this clash up gave away a bit of what they've got to offer. They had to - it's been short a fleshed out storyline.

The Way have been running scared of the Challenger, who's mostly outmuscled and outmatched them in a way unbecoming of a WWE babyface. That's been good, and Gargano was particularly p*ss funny in a go-home show attempt to get out of the match at the last minute, but it's all an attempt at finding a bit of emotion at the last second rather than fuelling the entire angle.

Back to WWE Payback in June booking though - Kushida's f*cked if he doesn't win, while 'Johnny TakeOver' could lose that belt 101 times and get over calling himself the 100-time Champion.

Winner - Kushida
