8 HUGE WWE NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day Predictions You Need To Know

5. MSK Vs. Grizzled Young Veterans

Of all the matches on this awkward event, the tournament final between newcomers MSK and former NXT UK Tag Team Champions Grizzled Young Veterans feels the most vital, due in part to the brackets themselves replacing the need for interesting storytelling.

The heel/face dynamic is excellent, both teams will look to help each other shine on a relatively substantial stage, and the quality of the match doesn't look in doubt. If that analysis seems leaning towards the functional than the fun (and f*cking hell that should be the subtitle of this entire TakeOver), it's only out of habit when trying to predict the next moves of acts like these on a brand currently struggling to breathe.

There's an energy to this specific contest that the black-and-gold brand must not waste. Two fresh-feeling acts that want to be known for more than what they're not, with the promised kayfabe riches of a NXT Tag Team Title shot awaiting the winners. If the brand is serious about earnestly rebuilding its division, it starts here, regardless of who wins. And in terms of that, let's go with the babyfaces to provide some contrast to the women's equivalent.

Winners: MSK
