8 HUGE WWE NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day Predictions You Need To Know

At TakeOver: WarGames, Karrion Kross teased his eventual NXT Championship match with Finn Bálor while simultaneously foreshadowing his imminent return.

This has proved problematic for the booking a few months later. Pete Dunne feels like a hurdle for 'The Prinxe' to leap over en route to facing the man that was forced to surrender the belt last summer. That same issue extends to Kross and perhaps explains why he's wrapped up in a bizarre television feud with Santos Escobar instead of working this show.

Viewers have been left to assume that he's still got his eyes on the prize, and that the clock is ticking for Bálor when he's finished working through his grievances with The Kings Of NXT. Expect something a little more direct to drop in the middle of the show to make the message crystal clear.

The vignettes are typically well produced if nothing else, and the investment in the character from the brand thus far at least ensures that it won't be time wasted from fans caring about his cause. It's all been in a rather muted register of late though - Kross could do with finding the wow factor again here before destroying the Cruiserweight Champion on Wednesday.
