8 HUGE WWE NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day Predictions You Need To Know

2. Finn Bálor (c) Vs. Pete Dunne

TakeOver: Vengeance Day doesn't deserve the work Finn Bálor and Pete Dunne will put in to making this Championship match memorable.

It doesn't deserve Bálor risking another painful injury to his jaw (or f*ck knows where else), or Dunne reaching the levels he so often does when given time to show out on the TakeOver stage. 'The Bruiserweight' is expert at hiding his extra gear and unleashing in such a way that kayfabe and reality meet - audiences are typically as shocked by explosiveness as opponents on the wrong end of it.

As a babyface, this helped inform some thrilling crescendos, but it was borne out of a heel cruelty he's since asserted since forming The Kings Of NXT alongside Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch and the much-missed Pat McAfee.

And what about McAfee? Conspicuous by his absence since WarGames, mere mention of him has scant. Here's hoping its for involvement here - expect Burch and Lorcan's interference to be offset by The Undisputed Era but McAfee's to go unchecked. It won't secure Dunne the win, but it'll at least inject a bit of life into Wednesday's USA Network when he makes an overdue return to the CWC. Especially when he's subdued by another unexpected ringside observer...

Winner - Finn Bálor
