1. The Road To WrestleMania

It is genuinely thrilling - beyond that, even - to be able to write this about WWE in 2023, but as long as Triple H can hold on to the keys away from Vince McMahon's repulsive hands it'll maybe remain true. The Royal Rumble could, should and probably will drive some WrestleMania storylines!

It's disheartening to think that younger fans haven't ever experienced the January classic for all it can do rather than just generate the odd surprise pop, and yet we now sit on the precipice of several high profile 'Show Of Shows' matches getting inked.

Rey Mysterio is going to have to fight his son, and might even have to throw him out of the Rumble if The Judgment Day carry him to several ill-gotten eliminations. Becky Lynch was unable to conclude her business with Damage CTRL on Raw Is XXX but could use the Rumble to deal with this while herself falling afoul of an elimination from a surprise upcoming rival. MVP has gone about trying to get The Hurt Business back together and Bobby Lashley might now see the benefit after getting blindsided by Brock Lesnar. Logan Paul has been rumoured to make a Rumble return and could well do so to set up his WrestleMania plans. John Cena and Austin Theory have supposedly taped something already for an impending story and could enhance that with a Rumble scrap. What of the SmackDown Women's Championship if Bianca Belair Vs Rhea Ripley is nailed on?

And on and on and on it goes, potentially. There's 60 of them out there over just two matches, this is what January should have felt like the whole time!
