8 HUGE WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022 Predictions You Need To Know

6. AJ Styles Vs. Edge

AJ Styles and Edge had an extremely disappointing match at WrestleMania, though it shouldn't have been a surprise to those that might have seen similar stadium clashes from the pair in the past.

It's obviously not that both men aren't excellent at all of this, but they have struggled on WWE's biggest stage before, and the company has a habit of agenting these battles into the ground. AJ Styles has yet to have a match at the 'Show Of Shows' outside of a fundamentally thick one with Shane McMahon that scans as memorable, and Edge's record has almost exactly as many snoozers as scorchers.

WrestleMania Backlash should be better.

A smaller venue and a clearer direction centred around AJ Styles' shoulder and Edge's ability to beat him without the help of Damian Priest should make the rematch far less flabby than the original. A second consecutive victory for 'The Rated-R Superstar' will be more newsworthy than his first too...

Winner - Edge
