With Damian Priest barred from ringside, it will fall to either Ciampa or Rhea Ripley (or both, or somebody else!) to provide the necessary distraction needed to help the 'Rated-R Superstar' defeat AJ Styles for the second pay-per-view in a row.

Judgment Day have gotten off to a rocky start with Edge's promos and Priest's Raw defeat to the 'Phenomenal One' undermining their credibility as the red brand's new big threat, but this win coming thanks to an increase in numbers should do much to reset the scales. Which Edge might literally say when he explains how all this went down 24 hours later.

WWE have at least lined up some logic for the top candidates - Ripley has just turned heel and an affiliation could reveal itself as the catalyst. Meanwhile Ciampa's cynical attacks on Mustafa Ali have been cut away from in much the same was his introductory promo was. Has this been intentional to load his explanation with some authority when each and every one of us are inevitably blamed?

See, Edge? Even snark can have some sentiment.
