8 Implications Of Brock Lesnar Returning To UFC

WWE’s lack of major stars is a huge concern. With The Undertaker gone, John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and perhaps AJ Styles stand as the company’s only legitimate needle-movers. Their other main eventers are great, but they don’t carry the same level of star power, and when WWE’s current top guys depart, there’s not exactly an abundance of ready-made replacements.

With Lesnar considering a UFC return and Cena working an increasingly limited schedule, WWE could soon have a real crisis on their hands. There’s no way they’ll want to be without both of these major assets, and unless they’re able to build other wrestlers up to take their place, the bookers could go into a tailspin.

The company’s go-to option in such situations is usually to call on the names of the past, but they’re running out of options. Bill Goldberg has refused to rule out the possibility of another run, but there’s no guarantee the fans would take to him after his widely criticised Universal Title run. Still, he might be the only option with 'Taker out of the picture. Expect WWE to throw a bunch of money at Goldberg and other performers in similar situations should Brock walk out the door.
