4. The NXT Six Revealed?

Meltzer might believe that Jax’s call-up is imminent, but his Figure 4 Online board users aren’t as sure, and one seemingly in-the-know source has claimed the following shall comprise the NXT six:-

Finn Balor
Bobby Roode
Mojo Rawley
American Alpha
Alexa Bliss
Bayley

Balor, Bayley, and American Alpha should come as no surprise. The first two have been expected to hit the main roster for months now, and Balor’s call-up feels almost inevitable at this point. American Alpha, meanwhile, are already among WWE’s most consistently entertaining tag teams, and with their NXT Tag Title reign out of the way, the timing is right. Bliss, meanwhile, has shown great promise as a wrestler and manager, and Rawley has a ready-made tag team with Zack Ryder on the main roster.

Bobby Roode, however, hasn’t even been officially introduced as an NXT talent yet. We know he’s been wrestling on NXT live shows, and he was featured in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it backstage segment with William Regal last month, but that’s about it.

However, while it would be surprising to see him immediately jump to Raw or SmackDown, he already has 12 years of television experience from his TNA stint. He’s a polished, charismatic performer who’d gain little from a lengthy stint in developmental, and at 39 years old, he isn’t getting any younger. WWE might feel that if Roode is to amount to anything in the company, he needs to be in the spotlight right away.
