4. Jason Jordan Heel Turn
Another of those late changes to the Survivor Series card saw Jason Jordan dropped from Team Raw after a beatdown from Bray Wyatt on Monday had apparently left him less than 100%.
At face value, that demotion and the manner in which it came, begging his on-screen father to keep him on the team before eating a Pedigree from Triple H, looks like something of a burial. However, if the company follows up on that angle, it could easily become the basis for a much-needed heel turn for Jason Jordan that could salvage something from this whole “illegitimate son” storyline.
Though nothing concrete is being reported, the idea of Jordan turning heel has been touched upon in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, with other outlets subsequently echoing the notion.
As well as justifying Jordan’s booking on Raw this past week, a heel turn could also open up the door for a possible, albeit brief, father vs. son feud between him and Kurt Angle, which at this point seems like the only beneficial pay-off to having spent months pretending the two are in any way related.
