8 Massively Underrated AEW Entrance Themes

6. The Gunn Club - Gunn Club

The Gunn Club seems to be on course to merge with The Acclaimed as it stands, which seems like a random pairing, albeit no stranger than several of AEW’s other ‘group several tag teams together to make a stable’ endeavours.

It can be presumed they’ll both keep their own theme songs when competing separately given that Max Caster’s topical and often gasp-inducing raps are what differentiates him and Anthony Bowens from their counterparts. The Gunn Club’s new theme, meanwhile, is a marked improvement on the generic piece that Billy and Austin (before Colten made them a trio) debuted and built up the bulk of their shockingly high win/loss record with.

Given that it leans heavily on John Carpenter-esque 80s synth (much like FTR’s Rock & Roll Express homage theme), it could be viewed a bizarre throwback to a time when Austin and Colten weren’t even alive, but the aura that gives it off certainly fits the gimmick of a group of mysterious gunslingers. Here’s hoping they get to keep it, even if they do eventually ‘embrace the ass’ and adopt the theme Danhausen crafted for them for a bit…
