8 Minor Changes That Would Make A Major Difference To WWE Survivor Series 2017

7. Something Other Than Corbin vs. Miz

Is anyone genuinely interested in Baron Corbin vs. The Miz?

Both men have their merits as performers, but it is difficult to think of a less appealing match-up than The Lone Wolf vs. The A-Lister. The Miz is a fantastic talker who needs a superior opponent to have a good match, while Corbin is still very much a work in progress. Unless something remarkable happens, this battle is going to be a drag.

Last year’s Survivor Series saw Miz defend the Intercontinental Championship against Sami Zayn, a battle between RAW and SmackDown with the blue show’s secondary title on the line. Why not do something similar this year? Having both titles on the line in such a fashion would lead to predictable outcomes, but Corbin is on such shaky ground that putting his belt in jeopardy isn’t so difficult or unbelievable.

The Miz is better served in the 5-on-5 elimination match. Survivor Series would be better off with Baron Corbin defending the WWE United States Championship against a RAW superstar. Who? There is plenty of red-show talent with the night off on Sunday. Bray Wyatt? Jason Jordan? Apollo Crews?
