8 Mistakes WWE Have Already Made With Jason Jordan's Push
5. Acknowledging The Boos
Jason Jordan walking out to a few boos wasn't the end of the world - Roman Reigns gets nuclear heat, and even Bayley now receives the occasional jeers from the crowd, so he wasn't looking in too bad a shape, relatively speaking.
The real error was Jordan so openly addressing them. The negative reactions were quiet enough that WWE could have got away with ignoring them, but instead they chose to make their entire audience aware that the storyline was being negatively received, without offering anything as a substantial counter argument.
"They're gonna boo, they're gonna cheer, they're gonna do whatever they want, and that's cool". That doesn't make Jordan sound like an open-minded guy who supports the fans, it makes him sound apathetic and uncaring towards what the fans think, which is hardly an endearing trait.
Subsequently insulting The Miz for getting more boos was just straight-up nonsensical, as Jordan had stated mere moments ago that getting booed didn't bother him. You can't insult a man on the same charges you just defended yourself against. Besides, it was just a really lame insult.
