8 More Former WWE Stars Who Need To Return To NXT

One of the reasons for Molly Holly leaving WWE in April 2005 was that she was sick and tired of being ridiculed for her supposedly comical appearance (Jerry Lawler and other WWE performers incessantly ridiculed her for having a big butt).

Another was that she was getting used less and less as WWE took the focus away from actual women's wrestling and began to focus more on things like the Diva Search. For the last six months of her WWE tenure, Molly barely even featured on WWE TV. When she did, it was usually losing efforts on weekend show Heat.

That's a damn shame, to be honest, because Molly was one of the most talented female performers WWE had at that time. She had great matches with everyone from Victoria and Trish Stratus to Lita and Gail Kim and was committed to the company, even having her head shaved bald at WrestleMania XX (although that was her own idea).

She deserved better. She deserved what the women of NXT and WWE are getting now, i.e. proper promotion, respect and a spotlight in which to best display their talents. It would be great to see the 38-year-old Molly return to NXT for a short feud or one-off match with someone like an Eva Marie, Nia Jax or Alexa Bliss.

She's still in great shape and is on good terms with the company, having recently made an appearance on an episode of Table for Three and showing up during WrestleMania 32 weekend for the Hall of Fame. Could happen, you never know.
