8 More Former WWE Stars Who Need To Return To NXT

1. Chris Masters

Chris Masters had everything WWE were looking for when he burst onto the scene in 2005. He was young, had an impressive look and, after a couple of ropey months, really came into his own as a worker. A couple of Wellness Policy violations and stints in rehab convinced the company to cut ties with him in 2007, however.

He hit the indie circuit and worked all over the world, constantly evolving and improving as a performer. WWE were keeping an eye on him and brought him back in 2009. And then he did nothing but wrestle good but ultimately meaningless matches on Superstars, where he displayed just what a great worker he'd become.

In the five years since his 2011 release, The Masterpiece has only gotten better and has received glowing reviews for his work on the indies, in particular his superlative series with the late Kris Travis in England's PCW. Oh, and he also saved his mother from a burning building by pulling a tree out of the ground with his bare hands.

So this guys is a great worker, has a phenomenal physique and is a real-life superhero? Seriously, why isn't this guy in WWE? Considering he failed to receive a push or make much of an impact in his last spell there, perhaps NXT would be the place for Masters to go.

He'd work thrillers with the likes of Balor, Joe and even Nakamura. He's credible, fans recognise him and he's still only 33 years of age. This one seems like a no-brainer to me.
