8 Most Memorable WWE Father/Son Moments

1. Rey Mysterio & Dominick

The beef between Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero in 2005 could have sustained itself on the strength of their stellar in-ring work alone. For whatever reason, WWE decided that the bad blood needed to share DNA, as they gradually transformed a tag-team fallout into a soap-opera tussle for paternity over Rey's son, Dominick.

Eddie, fully heel after allowing MNM to roll his partner over for a shock tag team title win, revealed that Rey's first-born was in fact his own son; apparently, Latino Heat had lent a hand - or his genitalia - to help his friend's wife conceive. What are mates for?

Things came to a head with an almost Russo-esque 'Dominick on a pole' match at SummerSlam '05 (OK, it was a ladder match to gain custody), which thankfully, Rey won. The celebrations after the match were, in any event, heartening.

In 2019, Dominick made a surprise WWE return as part of Rey's ongoing feud with Samoa Joe. Now towering over his father, it wouldn't necessarily be ridiculous if the company ran an angle suggesting Joe is his dad. Don't put it past them.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
