8 Most Talented Wrestlers WWE Refuse To Push

1. Finn Bálor

We'd like to say that Finn Bálor would still be in the main event picture had he not been forced to vacate the Universal Title in 2016. Yes, we'd like to say that, but there's no evidence that his title reign would've been lengthy or made him a permanent member of the WWE upper classes.

The past 18 months since he returned from injury haven't helped his argument.

Aside from typically nailing it in-ring, Bálor has smiled, smiled some more, smiled, appeared as the 'Demon' occasionally and smiled. He's a cheeky, roguish Irishman stereotype when there's no room for that sort of mince on the roster. Bálor, without hyperbole, is a stunning pro wrestler. That's background noise to crap attempts at giving him some personality though.

WWE can't seem to figure out what they want Bálor to be. Sometimes, he shows why they pushed him to the top in the first place, then, at other points, he comes across as a character with less depth than TJP on 205 Live. If only they'd show some consistency with his booking and ditch the happy-go-lucky guff, Finn would be much better off.
