2. Triple H - Thor

During Thor's pre-production, Triple H was being touted as being near the top of a very short list of actors who could play the leader of Asgard, alongside Channing Tatum and Charlie Hunnam. Director Kenneth Branagh was apparently quite high on the idea, as Hunter obviously had the look of the hammer-wielding hero for years (blonde hair, bear, bulging muscles). Unfortunately for Hunter--but probably very fortunate for those of us who enjoy quality acting--he was passed over for Chris Hemsworth. Although Helmsley has appeared in a comic book movie before (Blade Trinity), a role as Thor could have very well marked him as a legitimate actor, finally catching up to The Rock in terms of Hollywood popularity.
