5. Jerry Lawler
Jerry 'The King' Lawler is best known for his co-commentary work during WWE's hottest period. Next to the knowledge and unequalled passion of Jim Ross, Lawler was a master of one-liners and a shrieking devil, hell-bent on making excuses for Mr. McMahon or whoever was the heel of choice throughout the late-90s and early-2000s.
Rewind to his time as a competitor, both in the Memphis territories and in WWF in the mid-to-late 90s, and Lawler had a mean streak several miles long. His misogyny had him dropping lines like, "You never really know a woman til you meet her in court" and, "You know what you call a good looking girl in Philadelphia? A tourist".
'King' took fire at ECW, christening it "Extremely Crappy Wrestling", and mercilessly tearing down the ability of the company's legitimacy and roster of wrestlers during their feud with the fed in 1997.
His promos could spill over into dangerous territory, as they did during a particularly gratuitous speech towards Goldust. Lawler took it entirely too far, calling him a "sissy" and calling him a "flaming f*g" for "kissing men". It was a very different time, but Lawler's willingness to strike any low blow in the name of insulting his opponent makes him one of the nastiest trash talkers to ever do it.
